Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy (PT) provides support with physical challenges, mobility and coordination. Through tailored exercises and activities, PT focuses on enhancing strength, balance, and gross motor skills, affecting everyday movements like crawling, walking, and jumping. Physical therapists will address gross motor delays and balance, training families in exercises and routines that will enhance the child’s ability to partake in daily activities, and social environments as independently as possible. Enhanced physical strength and ability opens opportunities for play and social interaction. Additionally, PT can prevent further complications that might arise if delays are not addressed, like improving strength and balance, reducing the risk of falls, injuries, and dependence.
